Scheme Policy Terms and Conditions Claims Information
University Health Scheme
  • No cost for consultation and standard drugs from University Health Physicians (Non-standard items are chargeable)
  • No cost for most of the basic in-house investigation
  • Co-pay $5-$30 for other investigations and procedures
  • Visit to GPs and polyclinics after UHC operating hours due to emergencies: limit to 50% co-payment per visit, reimbursable up to $60 per visit, and limit to 2 visits per policy year
* Visit to psychiatrists at Government Restructured Hospitals with referral by a physician or NUS counsellor is reimbursable at a subsidised rate, subject to terms and conditions. Non-standard drugs and treatment at private clinics are strictly not claimable.

If you have incurred medical expenses, kindly submit your claims within 30 days (from the date of treatment) for processing at University Health Centre (Admin Office).

Late submissions will not be considered or processed.

Supplementary Medical Coverage

Based on your current and / or anticipated medical needs, you may wish to consider retaining your current medical insurance plan or purchasing additional insurance to cover the excluded conditions or increase your coverage limit.

Kindly submit your claims within 30 days (from the date of treatment) for processing.


Original receipts and all relevant supporting documents (i.e. claim form, referral letter, memo from doctor, discharge summary, etc.)

  1. Submit at University Health Centre (Admin Office) for medical expenses related to:

    • General Practitioner clinic visits
    • Polyclinic visits
    • Local student outpatient mental health visits (Hospital emergency visit due to mental health issues, outpatient Psychiatrist / Psychologist visits)
