I graduated from the University of Hawaii with a Bachelor of Business Administration majoring in Travel Industry Management. While studying in the United States, I had an opportunity to intern with Walt Disney World in Florida. Working for a Fortune 500 company has provided me a glimpse of how a great company impart their culture and their desire to provide service excellence.
After my stint with Walt Disney, I took a year off to travel with a youth organisation – Up With People. In my year of travel, I visited 106 cities and performed 147 shows throughout the United States and Europe. I travelled with a cast of 120 international youths and stayed with host families in the cities that I visited in addition to doing community service projects.
After returning from the United States, I started my career in the hospitality industry with the Singapore Marriott Hotel and later on, The Ascott, one of the first premier Serviced Residences in Singapore. With my experience in accommodation and leasing, I joined the Singapore Management University as Head of Leasing Business Unit overseeing the campus retail mall, two hostels and the leasing of conference halls and seminar rooms.
I went on to pursue my Executive Master of Business Administration degree with the University of Buffalo and was a lecturer with Republic Polytechnic before becoming the Head of School for Tourism and Hospitality in Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS).
I am excited to be here in Yale-NUS College and serving the student community.Fun Fact
