Orientation Schedule

Welcome to Orientation 2021!

Here at Yale-NUS College, our mandatory Orientation serves as a key programme for students to transition into a new phase of their academic journey and personal development. Just as importantly, it is an opportunity for individuals to explore and engage with the wider Yale-NUS community.

As such, Orientation poses these four key questions:

    • Where am I?
    • Who am I and who am I here with?
    • Who are we and what is this community?
    • Why am I here?

This year is no different!

Even during these unprecedented and uncertain times, the committee of staff and student leaders are dedicated to creating a programme that encapsulates the values and essence of the Yale-NUS experience. Our Orientation will focus on cultivating growth, bonding, and reflection that will last throughout your time at Yale-NUS.

With that said, the team has modified the traditional format of Orientation to accommodate these new circumstances. This year’s programme will include both in-person and virtual activities, with an emphasis on virtual activities so that you can experience Orientation with your peers no matter where you are.

Look out for the exciting events to come!

    • aMaze
    • Mass Dance
    • Student Organisation Hangouts
    • Get-togethers with your Orientation group
    • Chats with your Rector and Assistant Dean
    • First Year Assembly
    • Candlelight Ceremony
    • And many more!

We hope you’re excited as we are! Get ready Class of 2025 – we will see you very soon.
