Matriculation and Pre-Enrollment

Congratulations on making the decision to enroll at Yale-NUS College! Over the coming weeks and months, there are several required steps you must complete prior to your arrival on campus for orientation.  Please review the information below and contact the appropriate office if you have any questions.

Pre-Enrollment Communications

You will receive several email communications over the next few months. If you do not receive these emails, please check your spam filter and contact the Admissions Office to provide an updated email address. Your Yale-NUS email address will only be activated upon completion of Registration Part 1, so please continue to check the personal email address indicated on your Yale-NUS application.

Matriculation & Pre-Enrollment Process

Step 1
Enrollment Form
Round 1 Admits Due: 20 May 2019
Round 2 Admits Due:  17 June 2019
Complete your enrollment form online by the above respective dates, according to the round you were admitted, to confirm your attendance at Yale-NUS. If you have not yet received the enrollment form, please contact the Admissions Office.
Step 2
First Year Form
Round 1 Admits Due: 6 June 2019
Round 2 Admits Due:  17 June 2019
All incoming students must complete the first year form online. This information will be used to coordinate your housing on-campus and the orientation programme. The form will be available here and be sent out via email in May. Please contact the Dean of Students Office with any questions.
Step 3
International Students: Student Pass
Between mid-June and late-June 2019
International students will need to complete the process to secure a student pass, a requirement from the Singapore government. You will receive an email with specific directions in mid-June. Please contact studenthelp@yale-nus.edu.sg with any questions.
Step 4
Central Provident Fund Education Scheme Application
Application Period:1 to 31 July 2019
Students interested in applying for the Central Provident Fund Education Scheme (CES) should submit the application during the stipulated application period .  Information is available online.  Please contact the Financial Aid office with any questions.
Step 5
Completion of Health Screening
Due Date: Book appointment by 5 July 2019, 12.00pm (Singapore Time)

  • Singaporean & Singapore PR (SPR) Students:
    • Select an appointment from the timeslots to have your Health Screening done at the NUS University Health Centre (UHC) between 25 to 26 July 2019.  Visit this site here to select your appointment time.
    • Alternatively, you may complete your pre-enrolment medical examination at an external clinic. Please head down to UHC in person to submit the original copies of the laboratory test and chest x-ray report together with the pre-enrollment medical examination form which can be downloaded here.
    • Please take note that the health screening cost will be borne by the student whether it is conducted at UHC or at an external clinic.
  • International Students:
    • Please contact studenthelp@yale-nus.edu.sg for further information on your health screening appointment. Your appointment will occur during the orientation programme

Step 6
Student ID Photo Submission
Due Date: 5 July 2019, 12.00pm (Singapore Time)
Students are required to upload a digital photograph (per these guidelines). Visit this site to submit your digital photo. Please refer to the link here for FAQs and you may contact ync.matric@yale-nus.edu.sg for further assistance.
Step 7
Tuition Fee Loan
Application deadline for Singapore citizens – 12 July 2019
Application deadline for international students –  19 July 2019
If you are seeking to apply for the Tuition Fee Loan (TFL), please complete your application by the appropriate date noted above. Application information can be found online.  Please contact the Financial Aid office  with any questions.
Step 8
Completion of Registration (Part One)
Due Date: 12 July 2019, 11.59pm (Singapore Time)
During the Registration (Part One) process, you will be asked to update your personal particulars online and download some forms to be submitted during Registration (Part Two). Step 9
Completion of Registration (Part Two)
Due Date: 30 July 2019 (2pm – 6pm, Singapore Time) to 31 July 2019 (9am – 4pm, Singapore Time)
All students will complete the Registration (Part Two) process, which is also known as matriculation, within the stated timings during the First-Year move-in days. Matriculation is one of the counters that you need to clear as part of the move-in process.Please note that the following documents are required:

  • Singaporean & Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR) Students
    1. Original Identity Card or Passport
    2. Risk Acknowledgement and Consent Form – to be submitted online during Registration (Part one)
  • International Students:
    1. Original Identity Card or Passport
    2. Risk Acknowledgement and Consent Form – to be submitted online during Registration (Part one)
    3. Authorisation of Medical Procedures – to be submitted online during Registration (Part one)
    4. Appointment of Local Representative – to be submitted online during Registration (Part one)

Please note that students who are under the age of 18 as at the point of completion of Registration Part One are required to do BOTH the online submission AND bring a hard copy of each form signed by your parent/guardian.

Step 10
Post-Secondary Education Account Submission
Deadline for ad-hoc submission – 5 to 16 August 2019
Students who would like to utilise their Post-Secondary Education Account (PSEA) should submit their ad-hoc withdrawal by 16 August 2019.  Please contact the Financial Aid office with any questions.
Step 11
Move-In & Orientation
30 – 31 July *all students must move in by 4:00PM on 31 July at the latest.
Students are required to arrive and move-in to campus during this time. Please refer to the Orientation Schedule & the Academic Calendar for more information. If you have any questions regarding move-in or orientation, please contact the Dean of Students Office.
