Student Organisation Travel Funding


The funds present an opportunity for students to plan a meaningful cultural, social, and/or academic event for the Yale-NUS community.

  • Enrich the on-campus activities of a student organisation through participation in a conference, competition, rally, lecture, or similar event.
  • Assist student organisations in providing additional learning experiences for members beyond what is available on-campus and in Singapore.
  • Help mitigate the cost of international travel for Yale-NUS students. (Student groups will likely need to contribute or raise additional funds to cover the costs of international travel.)
  • Registered student organisations, not individual students.

Due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, we are not reviewing any applications until further notice.

Application Process
  1. Read Travel & Conference Funding Request Guidelines.
  2. Submit the Travel Funding Application by the above deadline.
  3. You will be notified on the outcome of your request within 2 weeks of the application due date.


Things to Prepare

The Travel Funding Committee requests that the budget highlights the full cost of the travel that is being proposed. International travel and large-scale events will likely require fundraising efforts to be successful, so please plan ahead and consult your student organisation advisers and the Dean of Students Office early.

  • Use the Travel Budget Template to prepare the budget.
  • Supporting documents (e.g. screenshots of the flight you are intending on taking, registration fees on conference or competition website, accommodation costs, etc)

Applications will only be considered with a complete budget.
