Our Commitment to You
Our team is committed to the highest quality of clinical services to promote the emotional, relational, and academic potential of all students. Understanding the struggles university students face, it is our goal to provide a confidential, non-judgmental atmosphere using a holistic and collaborative model of care.
We hope you find Counselling@Yale-NUS to be a friendly, helpful place that provides services to assist you as a successful student and a happy and healthy person.
Students can receive up to 8 counselling sessions at University Counselling Services (UCS) in NUS. For emergency access, kindly request a referral from our Yale-NUS Counselling Centre.
Students who are feeling distressed and /or cannot keep themselves safe may come to UCS for a same day appointment and a counsellor may see them for an assessment. UCS is open until 5.30pm from Monday to Thursday and 5.00pm on Friday.
The students may also call 24-hour Lifeline NUS at 6516 7777 in the event of a life-threatening psychological emergency.
Students who have specialized needs can be referred to see an external panel of therapists. Each student can receive up to 8 free counselling sessions with an external therapist by referral from our centre. If you wish to be referred, kindly email us to arrange a time with Zhengqin for a referral. You may find the list of external therapists here.
