Athletics Council

The Athletics Council is a central body that provides leadership and representation for the athletics community in Yale-NUS College. It was created to advocate for the needs of student athletes by giving them a platform to voice their interests and concerns.

Founded in 2016, the Director of Athletics of the Yale-NUS Student Government chairs the Council with all athletics team captains serving as members. The Council receives advice from staff members of the Athletics Department.

Since its inception, the Council has actively promoted large-scale events such as the Inter-College Games (ICG) and Inter-Faculty Games (IFG), building collegiate spirit and pride through athletics. The Council also works closely with the Athletics & Recreation team in the Dean of Students office in managing resources such as team budgets and training facilities.
